In 1991, Gunnar Cyrén designed Nobel Champagne for the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize. The crystal champagne glass is made with a golden glass ball in real 21 carat gold at the foot. The glass has a long and narrow bowl, to preserve the bubbles in sparkling drinks. To this day, every December at Stockholm City Hall, Nobel Prize-winners and royalty raise the champagne glasses from the Orrefors Nobel collection.
